Year 10 interview morning







This morning over 20 professional from across Hertfordshire came to Yavneh to run interview workshops with our Year 10 students. Thank you to Communities 1st for organising this event.







This morning over 20 professional from across Hertfordshire came to Yavneh to run interview workshops with our Year 10 students. Thank you to Communities 1st for organising this event.
Year 12 students attended a lunchtime workshop run by ASK (Apprenticeship, Support, Knowledge) looking at the nature of apprenticeships and how to apply, shortlist and search for apprenticeships.

Year 7 students heard from a range of different Careers speakers this morning ranging from HR, Sport, Politics, Engineering, IT and Rail

Year 10 students visited Balliol College, Oxford University to learn about the nature of student life and study at Oxford University. The trip included a lecture about university life, a tour from a current undergraduate and a workshop at the Natural History Museum.

Year 9 had a Careers Assembly this morning run by ASK (Apprenticeship, Support, Knowledge). Students learnt about the nature and benefits of post-18 apprenticeship pathways.

Lauren Christy (Talent Manager, Sky Studios Elstree) delivered a Careers Assembly this morning for Year 8 talking about the Creative Arts industry and what life is like working at Sky Studios.

Students from JFS, JCOSS and Yavneh participated in the annual Model United Nations this week.
This year the event was hosted at Yavneh College and we want to thank Mr Webb for organising and co-ordinating the event.

A group of Year 8 students were chosen to work as engineers racing against the clock to solve a real-life engineering problem from the Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM).

The CyberFirst challenge is a nationwide competition, where girls navigate through challenges spanning cryptography, logic, artificial intelligence, and networking. At Yavneh, we had over 30 students competing against other schools to try and be the cyber security champions. The competition isn’t over yet, so good luck to them all!

Year 11s had an assembly this morning run by West Herts College talking to students about the different post-16 options available at West Herts and talking about what College life is like.
