Magistrates in the Community
We were delighted to welcome local magistrate Stephen Pam to run an assembly for our Year 9 students to learn about the role of a magistrate and run a mock trial.

We were delighted to welcome former deputy head boy “Formz” back to Yavneh today to deliver a special assembly/performance this morning to our Sixth Form. We are so proud of his Form’s success and it was inspiring to hear his story and get an exclusive performance of some of his raps and songs.

Year 13 students participated in a workshop led by ASK (Apprenticeship, Knowledge and Support) looking at supporting students through the interview stages of an Apprenticeship application including a mock group interview.

Year 10 and Year 11 pupils attended the annual Generation Hertsmere Careers Fair this afternoon, joining other schools from the Borough looking at a range of post 16 and post 18 options and pathways.

A small group of Year 10 students are currently taking part in a three day programme working with OGGS developing a marketing and advertising campaign for a cutting edge brand.
Over the next three days students will work with industry experts and the programme will provide opportunities for collaborating and sharing design ideas, collecting market research, presenting/pitching and receiving (expert) feedback.
Some of our Year 10 students have been doing a pilot Work Experience placement at Communities 1st this week. Today, the students have been working on resources to support foreign workers coming into the UK to work for the NHS.
Approximately 35 students from Years 10 and 11 attended a Careers Fair run by Hertsmere Borough Council in partnership with The Hertfordshire Careers Hub.
With developments such as Sky Studios now open, along with the expansion of Elstree Studios, the opening of a Lidl superstore and a growing pharmaceutical sector, Hertsmere is an exciting place to live and work.
The event was a great success.
This year we are launching Sixth Form sports sessions once a half term. Sixth Form students are able to choose from a range of sports they wish to participate in.
Many of our Sixth Form students were on hand to support various departments during our Perspective Parents Evening.
This included the debut performance of our Sixth Form band to showcase our Music Department.
