We were delighted to welcome West Herts College for our second in our series of Year 11 Careers Assemblies. Students learnt about the courses and qualifications on offer at West Herts and what life at College is like.

Year 7 assembly (police)

Today we were visited by Hertfordshire Constabulary (Neighbourhood Policing Team) to run an assembly for Year 7 students looking at Knife Crime. This is something which is being done across all local schools in the area.

Learn2Rescue (Year 12 First Aid Workshop)

Over seventy Year 12 students spent the day taking part in the Learn2Rescue First Aid Qualification (certified). Thank you so much to Daniel Morris for running the day.

Year 11 Careers Assembly – Oaklands College

Year 11 had their first in a series of several careers assemblies today as Year 11 begin the process of considering their post-16 options. We were delighted to welcome a guest speaker from Oaklands College to talk about the range and types of courses on offer aswell as college life.

Sixth Form Apprenticeship Workshops

Applying, Searching & Shortlisting Apprenticeships

Year 12 students attended a lunchtime workshop run by ASK (Apprenticeship, Support, Knowledge) looking at the nature of apprenticeships and how to apply, shortlist and search for apprenticeships.

ORT Three Day Employability Challenge

Over the last three days some of our Year 10 students have participated in the annual ORT JUMP Employability Skills Programme. Students had to develop a marketing and advertising campaign for a cutting edge brand culminating in a pitch to retail professionals.
