Safeguarding is at the forefront of all that we do. Our Child Protection Policy outlines our commitments to safeguarding and child protection across the Yavneh Schools.
It is the responsibility of every member of staff, volunteer and regular visitor to our schools to ensure that they carry out the requirements of these procedures and, at all times, work in a way that will safeguard and promote the welfare of all of our pupils. All staff and governors benefit from regular training, including sessions on INSET days as well as twilight CPD. Staff also receive regular updates on Safeguarding from the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
The Yavneh Schools constantly endeavour to maintain an ethos where pupils feel secure, are encouraged to talk, are listened to and are safe. Pupils should feel able to talk freely to any member of staff if they are worried or concerned about something. Throughout our curriculum we provide activities and opportunities for pupils to develop the skills they need to identify risks and stay safe. This also extends to include material that will encourage them to develop essential life skills.
At all times we work in partnership and strive to establish effective working relationships with parents, carers and colleagues from other agencies. Those with particular roles and responsibilities for safeguarding at Yavneh college are detailed below:
