Student Librarian visit to Borehamwood Library
On 29th June, some of our student librarians were fortunate to visit Borehamwood Public Library. The librarians there were extremely welcoming and generous with their time and were well prepared to answer the myriad of questions our pupils had. It was interesting for our student librarians to be able to compare the library systems and see how they display their books compared to us here at YC. Many were interested in the Public Library Summer Reading Challenge – not in participating ,as it is for 4-11 year olds, but in being one of the volunteers to help run the programme in their local libraries.
According to Leo G “The library visit to Borehamwood Library was very interesting and fun. It was a shame that we weren’t there for that long and I want to go back and volunteer when I turn 14.”
