Executive Headteacher, Mr Spencer Lewis:

‘I am absolutely delighted with this year’s excellent GCSE results, particularly after the last two years of disruption due to Covid.

Yavneh College pupils have worked extremely hard and should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved, they have done brilliantly.

Really well done to everyone’.

Executive Headteacher, Mr Spencer Lewis:

‘We are absolutely delighted with these Post 16 results, both at A Level and in our Vocational, Btech course. Yavneh College students have worked so hard under very difficult circumstances and should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved. After a gap of three years since examinations were last sat, to have 62% of A Level grades at A* or A and 93% of vocational students with at least 3 distinctions is a testament both to the hard work of the students and to the dedication and commitment of the staff, who deserve a huge amount of thanks.

I am particularly proud that in this difficult year, six Yavneh students are graduating to Oxbridge or to study medicine.

Very well done to all Yavneh College students, you deserve it.’

‘Following a very difficult period of disruption to school life over the last 18 months, Yavneh College pupils have once again outdone themselves with an incredibly impressive set of GCSE results.

These results are based on a rigorous set of school based assessments and tests providing each teacher with the information required to assign pupils their correct grades.

I am so proud of each and every Yavneh College pupil for all their hard work and thank our wonderful staff for their dedication and professionalism which led to the pupils doing so well.’

Executive Headteacher, Mr Spencer Lewis said:

‘This has been another difficult year with students not sitting their planned A Level exams. However, unlike last year this year’s results are based on assessments and examinations sat at school for which students worked extremely hard in order to show just how much they have learnt over the last two years. Their teachers have used these assessments to assign the correct grades for each student following a long and carefully worked out assessment process.

A huge amount of thanks must go to the outstanding staff of Yavneh College who have worked under incredibly difficult circumstances this last year.

I am so proud of the grades Yavneh College students have been awarded, they worked incredibly hard and they deserve these excellent grades.

I am particularly proud that four students are graduating to Oxbridge and three to study medicine.

Well done to all the students and to their teachers.’

Executive Headteacher, Mr Spencer Lewis said:

‘‘After an incredibly difficult 6 months, pupils have finally received their GCSE results. The constant changes in government policy and approach over recent days have been very unfair on the pupils but today is a day to celebrate.

Yavneh College pupils worked hard for their GCSEs, they completed mock exams, ongoing assessments and a huge amount of work all marked by their teachers who were then able to assess each and every student and assign them an appropriate grade.

I am delighted to say how well our Year 11 pupils have done, they should be incredibly proud despite not sitting the final examinations. These results reflect their hard work and that of their dedicated teachers.

Yavneh College A Levels 2020

Key Facts

A*-A 61%
A*-B 89%
A*-C 100%

31% of all A-Level students gained all A or A* grades

Executive Headteacher, Mr Spencer Lewis:

‘This has been the most extraordinary year for everyone, everywhere. Students did not get the opportunity to sit their exams and show what they are capable of, they had worked so hard and they were very disappointed. Of course, Covid-19 has changed the way in which we all look at things and the students have accepted things with good grace and a smile.

These A Level grades follow a national standardisation process based on the school’s allocation of grades to each student having taken into account ongoing assessments, mock A Level examination grades and each teacher’s professional opinion of their student performance.

I am extremely proud of the grades Yavneh College pupils have been awarded. Our school is always one of the best performing in the country at A Level and these results continue that outstanding trend.

Well done to all A Level students and to their teachers.’

‘I am delighted to announce another fantastic set of GCSE results. Yavneh College pupils have worked very hard and should be really proud of what they have achieved again this year. Together with last week’s exceptional A Level results that placed Yavneh College as the best performing non selective state school in the UK at A Level, this is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the pupils and of the incredible team of staff at our school.

In addition to these excellent GCSE results, we are extremely proud of those pupils who have taken vocational courses in Business Studies, PE and Digital Media and who have done incredibly well’.
