Year 11 had their first in a series of several careers assemblies today as Year 11 begin the process of considering their post-16 options. We were delighted to welcome a guest speaker from Oaklands College to talk about the range and types of courses on offer aswell as college life.

ASK (Apprenticeship, Support, Knowledge) ran workshops for Year 12 (Searching, Applying and Shortlisting) and for Year 13 (Mock Assessment Centre) for all students interested in a Post 18 Apprenticeship pathway

A group of our Year 11 students took part in the annual “Generation Hertsmere” Careers Fair this afternoon showcasing post 16 and post 18 opportunities within the County








This morning over 20 professional from across Hertfordshire came to Yavneh to run interview workshops with our Year 10 students. Thank you to Communities 1st for organising this event.
Year 12 students attended a lunchtime workshop run by ASK (Apprenticeship, Support, Knowledge) looking at the nature of apprenticeships and how to apply, shortlist and search for apprenticeships.

Over the last three days some of our Year 10 students have participated in the annual ORT JUMP Employability Skills Programme. Students had to develop a marketing and advertising campaign for a cutting edge brand culminating in a pitch to retail professionals.




The Cyber Cup is a nationwide competition, where students work in teams of 6 to navigate through cryptography and cyber security challenges. At Yavneh, we had 5 teams across years 7-9 competing against other schools to try and win the Cyber Cup.

Year 10 students visited Balliol College, Oxford University to learn about the nature of student life and study at Oxford University. The trip included a lecture about university life, a tour from a current undergraduate and a workshop at the Natural History Museum.

All Year 8 students took part in an interactive First Aid workshop today run by Stand Against Violence.
