Learn2Rescue

Over twenty year 12 students began their First Aid training course today with Learn2Rescue. The course involves three after school training sessions followed by students working in groups to deliver first aid workshops to students in the lower school. At the end of the course they will receive a certified first aid qualification.

Kavod Commitee leading PSHCE lesson

The Year 13 KAVOD committee ran a discussion based PSHCE lesson for Year 12 today on the issue of Consent and Sexual Harassment. This is the first of three sessions they will be running in the next few months.

Year 8 Careers Assembly: Sky Studios Elstree

Lauren Christie (Sky Studios Elstree) came to speak to our Year 8 students today about the huge range of opportunities and various career pathways in the creative industries associated with TV and film.

Mock Interviews (Year 13 students)

Today we were delighted to welcome three alumni students and an ex-parent of Yavneh College to run mock interviews for year 13 students who are considering applying for Apprenticeships.

We are so grateful to Daniel Garcia (Adler Shine), Guy Meyer (Civil Service), Daniel Gold (Civil Service) and Georgia Shaw (Atos) who volunteered to support our careers programme in this way.

Careers Fair 2023

On Wednesday 1st February, Yavneh College ran a Careers Evening for all year 10-13 students and parents. We had over seventy volunteers from our parent body of experts, professional and representatives from a huge range of careers and professions. During the course of the evening we also ran a series of “spotlight sessions” where eight individuals spoke for a few minutes each about their career.

The event was extremely well attended with over four hundred students and parents participating. We are extremely grateful to all of the Yavneh parents who gave up their time to support this fantastic evening.
